Alkaline Skin Resurfacing (pH Revision)
Service Description
WHAT IS RESURFACING? Resurfacing is generally carried out when there is an abundance of accumulated cell material that makes the tissue on the surface of the skin look dull, thickened and lacklustre. An accumulation of dead cell material may also exacerbate the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and pores and may also contribute to scarring becoming more prominent. Resurfacing is required when we want to remove the cell material to reveal a fresh, radiant skin, allowing the natural functions of the skin to be rebalanced, strengthening and rebuilding the skin from within. WHAT IS DMK PH REVISION FOR RESURFACING AND HOW DOES IT WORK? DMK Alkaline Wash is created with an alkaline powder that is mixed into a paste and applied to the required area for a short period of time. The solution has a higher pH than that of the skin and contains unique buffers that aim to reduce irritation of the skin. The Alkaline Wash solution will attach itself to the protein of hair and skin and will soften, swell and dissolve both hair and skin to the desired result. Your DMK Professional Skin Revision Therapist will gradually apply the solution to the skin to enhance the depth of exfoliation. The effect of the solution is monitored by your DMK Professional Skin Revision Therapist, and the solution will be removed at the appropriate time. ***In order to undergo any of the DMK pH revision treatments, it is a requirement that you are already using a regime of DMK Home Prescriptive products, including Beta Gel, Contraderm and EFA Ultra. ***
